A customer of mine asked if I'd make some beads in red, black and yellow. She was interested in purchasing these for and on behalf of a group of Aboriginal women that will be learning how to make their own jewellery.
Red, black and yellow, colours of the Aboriginal flag. Red representing the earth, black for the people and yellow, representing the sun.
With the use of enamel, I also was able to mimic ochre often used in ceremonial gatherings.
I think I've done ok!
